Three sweet chickens

I took a few pictures this afternoon before Lil and Reid got picked up for a friend's birthday party.... It's amazing how much Mabel changes every day. Lil and Reid are both so sweet to her - we are lucky indeed to have these three!

High School Musical (2) and Mabel, too

High School Musical (2, not the first one, mind you) is the current obsession in our house. Lil and Reid have now watched it so many times that they know both the words AND the moves to all their favorite songs. I don't know if there's anything much funnier than watching Reid pretend to be Troy.

I can't believe Mabel will be 2 weeks old tomorrow.... She is such a sweet baby.

Frances Mabel Seck

Mabel arrived on Thursday, August 7 at 4:59pm - 7 lbs, 3 oz and 20.75" long. She is the sweetest (and hungriest, too, I might add) baby, and we're enjoying every minute of her!

One last trek

We made our last trek to the beach as a foursome this past weekend. We were not all that thrilled to come back home, but we move next week - made it a little easier to bear!

Trouble and Royalty

Lil with Reid and his friend Anderson at the pool - if those 2 aren't trouble, I don't know what is.

Reid took a nap this afternoon so they got to watch a movie before bed (since we knew he'd be up till 10 anyway). Lil chose Sleeping Beauty and convinced Reid he would like it since there was a boy in it. Twenty minutes into the movie, the king came out in his pajama shorts, a polo, cowboy boots, and a horse. Sleeping Beauty wasn't far behind. (The background will - fortunately - be very different soon. We move into our new house in 2 weeks!)

The Tooth Fairy is on her way (but she doesn't know the going rate these days).

Lil lost her first tooth today. It's been loose for a while, and sister was in nobody's hurry to pull that thing out. Needless to say, she is already anxiously awaiting the arrival of the tooth fairy this evening.

Mermaid and Mer-Man

Susu got some pictures of my little mermaid and mer-man while we were there this weekend.

Fourth of July

We spent the weekend of the 4th at the beach with Susu and Ga. Lil and Reid made brownies, had 2 nights of fireworks, swam in the pool, played all sorts of games, and just generally wore themselves (and their grandparents, too, I'm sure) out. Thanks again, Susu and Ga!

Susu and Ga took them to a barbecue and to see fireworks on Thursday night. Trey and I didn't know what to do with ourselves (and all that quiet), but we certainly enjoyed the break!

Susu and Trey took them to see the parade - always a big hit since they come home with a LOT of candy!

We watched the Wrightsville Beach fireworks from Susu and Ga's house on the 4th.

Some of us were clearly more patriotic than others.

Lots and lots of swimming...

A few bubbles turned them into "polar bears" in short order once they turned the jets on in Susu and Ga's tub.

Nags Head

We just returned from a fun week in Nags Head with Grammy, Papa Harry, Aunt Stacey, Uncle Shae, Reilly, Aunt Sarah, and Uncle Chris (also known as "Uncle Deucy"). Lots of time was spent playing on the beach, flying kites at Jockey's Ridge, crabbing, going out for ice cream, and splashing around the pool.

Camp

Lil finished her week at St Mary's sports camp this afternoon - just in time to head to Nags Head with Trey's family for a week.

It's #3!

We had our 4D ultrasound this morning, and everything looks great! She already weighs over 3 1/2 pounds - definitely on the higher end. Lil and Reid were interested for all of 3 minutes, and then they got bored. Reid kept asking the ultrasound tech why she was ironing Mommy's stomach.

Surf & Turf

Reid finished his last day of Surf & Turf at the Y today. We are officially finished with all our school-year activities until August!

The highlight of the day (besides cupcakes)? The big slide they put in the pool for the last day.

Reid and Woody stopped long enough for me to take one picture.

Lil and her friend, Kate (Woody's sister), were not very happy that they had to watch while their brothers went down the big slide in the pool over and over again.
