Nags Head

We just returned from a fun week in Nags Head with Grammy, Papa Harry, Aunt Stacey, Uncle Shae, Reilly, Aunt Sarah, and Uncle Chris (also known as "Uncle Deucy"). Lots of time was spent playing on the beach, flying kites at Jockey's Ridge, crabbing, going out for ice cream, and splashing around the pool.

Camp

Lil finished her week at St Mary's sports camp this afternoon - just in time to head to Nags Head with Trey's family for a week.

It's #3!

We had our 4D ultrasound this morning, and everything looks great! She already weighs over 3 1/2 pounds - definitely on the higher end. Lil and Reid were interested for all of 3 minutes, and then they got bored. Reid kept asking the ultrasound tech why she was ironing Mommy's stomach.

Surf & Turf

Reid finished his last day of Surf & Turf at the Y today. We are officially finished with all our school-year activities until August!

The highlight of the day (besides cupcakes)? The big slide they put in the pool for the last day.

Lil and her friend, Kate (Woody's sister), were not very happy that they had to watch while their brothers went down the big slide in the pool over and over again.

On to 1st grade!

Lil finished kindergarten today - a bittersweet day. She has had such a great year and has loved her teachers, her friends, and her school.

Yesterday her class surprised their teachers with a birthday party (both have June birthdays) during their end-of-the-year party.



Her friend Grace had an ice-cream party for the girls after school (Lil, Grace, Addie, Sydney, and Margaret). The other girls were inside (wisely) enjoying the air conditioning when I got there.

Happy Birthday, Susu!

Susu and Ga came to Raleigh for a visit today (Susu's birthday). Nothing like celebrating your day with four grandchildren climbing all over you. Happy Birthday, Susu!

Ocean Commotion

All six kindergarten classes at Lil's school have their own "Ocean Commotion" parties at the end of the year. Hers had sprinklers, pools, pirate chests, bubbles, super soakers, and ice cream sundaes - the works. They had a ball - it was a great way to start winding down for summer. Her last day is Tuesday!

They were divided into groups of 5 to move through all the activities. Lil was waiting as patiently as possible.

Back to the pool

We've had so much fun at the pool this weekend - hard to believe we have to go back to school for another week. Reid has discovered: a) that he can actually swim, which means: b) he can go on the diving board and down the waterslide like Lil. It has made for some good times!
