This afternoon we went to a little pre kindergarten get-together at a friend's house for a few hours so Lil could mix and mingle with her future schoolmates. As you can see, none of them was all that interested in a group picture - four of them skipped it altogether (not that I blamed them).
Afterwards, Trey and I took her and Reid to Kanki for dinner and then to the Disney store to get Lil a new backpack for school. She now has a Lightning McQueen lunch bag, backpack, AND, for the bargain price of $16.50, some very attractive kicks that have Lightning on the sides and light up on the straps AND the sides. She did a few laps around the house before she got in the bath to try them out. She even made all her Lightning McQueen faces (some of you are more familiar with those than others - Mom and Dad) while she posed for pictures.

The shoes are sensational! Lilly is going to be the envy of every boy in her classroom. The shoes are definitely something I would have worn in kindergarten.
Look out, InStyle. I feel a new trend creepin' in. You go, Lil! I have no doubt you'll be the coolest (and sweetest) kid in kindergarten. Good luck, honey! I love you.
