Ouch!

Well, Reid has his first accident-related stitches - on his tongue. Due to an unfortunate incident involving one wooden fire engine and an area rug, we visited our pediatrician twice over the weekend before they sent us to our ENT this morning. Reid was strapped down to the table - it looked like a straightjacket, which did not please him - while his tongue was stitched back up. I think the entire office heard him while they gave him the shots and repaired the damage. He recovered quickly - quickly enough to go to the toy store, where he picked out this helicopter. He was most upset about missing school this morning!

I, on the other hand, still think a stiff drink wouldn't be such a bad idea....

NO! I am cringing just thinking about what stiches on a tongue must be like-and poor you having to be there while he endured such trauma. I am sorry. Yes, a stiff drink is definitely in order!

Carrie,

I am so proud of you in that you did not fate. Please continue the practice with Lilly on knowing what to do when her mother faints.
